Anatomy of a Luvins Muffin

What makes our muffins so unique? We dare to be imperfect. We dare to deliver the most fresh fruit, fiber, health qualities, and unique flavors to customers. We know that you’ll love and value the imperfections in our muffins and pleasantly find them to be perfections, formulated with extra care and effort, and undeniably the best muffins you’ll ever taste! Our muffins and muffin flavors are far different and more gourmet than the average supermarket muffins

Each muffin is 4 ounces in size and weight, similar to large Texas-style muffins. Once our muffins are baked, the insides are delicately replaced with fresh fruit fillings. The tops of the muffins are then covered with a soft crumb streusel topping. Picture a delicious bread shell of your traditional muffin flavor (e.g. blueberry) filled with either real blueberry or cream cheese filling, topped with a streusel topping that you want to just pick off crumb by crumb by crumb. Yum!!!

Fiber Benefits of Luvins Muffins

We’re dedicated to making our muffins as healthy as possible, as opposed to making muffins that want to make you hide from the scale after consumption. To incorporate Fiber into our muffins, we use the newest and latest food wonder called Resistant Starch (Hi-Maize)

Hi-MaizeWhat is Resistant Starch? Resistant starch is one of the best sources of fiber available in a person’s diet. Public health and scientific experts widely recognize that a significant gap exists between the amount of fiber we consume and the optimal amount of fiber for health and wellness. These benefits include health-oriented benefits such as maintenance of weight, and sustained energy but also preventive and curative effects on diabetes, heart disease and gastrointestinal disorders. Historically, fiber containing foods have been coarser, denser and generally less palatable compared to refined, processed foods. Resistant starch enables the incorporation of dietary fiber into our muffins without losing the taste or significantly changing the texture. In addition, resistant starch is well tolerated and causes significantly less side effects (i.e. bloating, gas) commonly associated with other fermentable fibers in other foods and mixes.
